Earlier this month, the Florida Association of Health Plans (FAHP) hosted its annual conference in Orlando, of which HN1 was the presenting sponsor. We invited attendees to submit a business card at the HN1 booth for a chance to be named in our donation to the Florida Disaster Fund.

HN1 is making a $10,000 donation to the fund in the name of the first 50 conference attendees to submit a business card.

The Florida Disaster Fund is the State of Florida’s official private fund established to assist Florida’s communities as they respond to and recover during times of emergency or disaster. In partnership with the public sector, private sector and other non-governmental organizations, the Florida Disaster Fund supports response and recovery activities.

In the fall of 2024, Hurricanes Helene and Milton caused widespread damage and necessitated significant recovery efforts across many Florida counties. Governor Ron DeSantis and First Lady Casey DeSantis announced the activation of the fund to aid impacted communities, providing financial assistance and filling critical gaps for families and organizations involved in disaster response.

The fund is particularly focused on filling gaps in aid that may not be covered by government programs or insurance, offering a way for businesses, organizations and individuals to directly contribute to disaster relief. Contributions to the fund are tax-deductible and used for initiatives like food distribution, shelter provision, infrastructure repair and community rebuilding.

Headquartered in Florida, HN1 understands that recovery goes beyond physical health—it encompasses the restoration of essential infrastructure, access to critical resources and the rebuilding of communities from the ground up. Our donation is a natural extension of the company’s broader mission to improve the health and well-being of communities across Florida.

We are grateful for Volunteer Florida's exceptional work in administering the Florida Disaster Fund. We believe that through this fund, Floridians and their families will have the support they need to rebuild their lives and emerge stronger and more resilient following these catastrophic events.
