Health Network One, a leader in value-based healthcare solutions, recently welcomed Stephen (Steve) Carrier as Network President. Carrier brings over 20 years of healthcare industry leadership experience to the role.
Health Network One creates value for managed care organizations by taking on the unique complexities of specialty networks. Covering more than 8 million lives across three dozen states, the company’s clinical specialties include outpatient therapy, routine vision, ophthalmology, dermatology, and podiatry.
Carrier will oversee the expansion of the company’s provider networks and the implementation of new value-based agreements nationally. In addition, he’ll work closely with the leadership team to grow existing customer relationships, add new health plan engagements, and launch new, market-driven offerings.
Luis Mosquera, CEO of Health Network One, expressed his enthusiasm about the new appointment, “We are thrilled to welcome Steve to our team as Network President. Steve brings a wealth of experience in managed care and a proven track record of innovative leadership in value-based healthcare solutions.”
Carrier is a seasoned managed care strategist, who joins Health Network One from Dispatch Health. As a Senior Vice President at Dispatch, he led managed care strategy and payor contracting and developed an episodic, value-based payment model. Prior to Dispatch, he held senior leadership positions at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Aetna, and Cigna. His experience, which includes the U.S. Naval Academy and an MBA from the University of Maryland, makes him exceptionally suited to help lead Health Network One into its next phase of growth and innovation.
